Can A 90’s Classic Change The Fortunes Of The Beton Bauen 5?

The artist formerly known as Beton Bauen Crew (and later as Beton Bauen Mariachi 5), are hoping that another complete diversion in musical direction will improve their fortunes.

Merry Christmas to Everyone...

Big Thanks to all those involved with a successful 2024 for Beton Bauen - that's staff, clients, contractors, and suppliers. We've had another record breaking year and none of our success would have been possible without input from every one of you.

To celebrate we've put another little video together. Just like last year, this video and digital download is not available in any good retailers, and is set to be banned from every reputable media source.

Still looking for that elusive UK #1

The artist formerly known as Beton Bauen Crew (and later as Beton Bauen Mariachi 5), are hoping that another complete diversion in musical direction will improve their fortunes.

This year the band has renamed themselves, simply as the Beton Bauen 5, prior to the release their latest offering titled ‘Macareindeer’.

In defence of another pointless name change, musical director (MD) Steve Davies offers a very personal set of clichés“We wanted to strip things right back to basics, like when we started. All the fame and glory has simply weighed us down and now it’s like a huge weight has been lifted off our shoulders. We’re enjoying the music again and I think the fans will love it. At the end of the day… it’s all about the fans, that’s what we do it for.”

The Beton Bauen 5 has shared massive disappointment in their bid for a Christmas #1. With the utter failure of their 2022 adaption of Ice Ice Baby, an even worse (non) chart position was achieved in 2023, when they introduced themselves as Mexican copycat boyband, Beton Bauen Mariachi 5.

A remix of José Feliciano’s Feliz Navidad, coupled with some questionable dance moves couldn’t turn things round for the quintet. Rather than improved listening numbers, statistics suggest that a record number of the UK public were offering to pay for the digital download to be removed from all unreputable sources.

Prior to the release of their 2024 effort (not) to dent the charts, further turmoil is afoot! Founding member and the bands favourite ‘Eye Candy’, Arthur Dacey (52) is set for a sabbatical following his recent marriage, looking set to disappoint the ever decreasing female (and male) fan base.

Arthur comments, “It’s not that I don’t love the lads. We’ve had some great times on the road, but my priorities have changed – I can’t just worry about the fans anymore, I’ve got to think of my beautiful wife, not the groupies I can meet every night.”

The new release ‘Macareindeer’ will feature all five members is sure to set hearts racing with a middle/elder aged audience. As usual the video was filmed exclusively using JibJab, a PC based computer, on location in cold and wet, South Wales.

Good luck to the band for the future. I would recommend you watch and listen, if only to discover how awful this really is! You can follow the Beton Bauen 5 at #ThisBandAreRubbish.
