Less than 24-hours following his appointment as Vice Chair of the CRA, Beton Bauen Managing Director, Steve Davies is acknowledged for "Services to the Concrete Repair Industry" at the Concrete Repair Association Awards Dinner.
Last Friday night, The Lowry Hotel (Manchester) hosted the annual Concrete Repair Association Awards Dinner, attended by an audience of leading stakeholders from the sector.
Just a matter of hours earlier Beton Bauen Managing Director, Steve Davies was appointed Vice Chair of The Concrete Repair Association for 2024. It seems those in the industry fully support the appointment, with an overwhelming number of positive comments on LinkedIn, and other social media platforms. Congratulations to Steve from everybody at Beton Bauen also... thoroughly deserved.
In a surprise move at the Friday evening awards ceremony, his peers within the specialist sector chose to honour Steve Davies with ‘The Kevin Coulman Award’, for service to the concrete repair industry.
Steve Davies was quoted as saying
"Well all I can say is, I was not expecting that. Absolutely delighted to receive the Kevin Coulman Award… a huge thank you to the CRA, this is amazing! I look forward to the role as Vice Chairman and working closely with the Executive Committee.”
Beton Bauen, as a business, was also acknowledged, having a project shortlisted for the CRA Awards, Large Project of the Year (£1M+). The ‘Newport Schools Project’ (in conjunction with structural engineers Jubb, and materials manufacturer Fosroc) used Beton Bauen’s comprehensive skill set, technical abilities and dedication to deliver a high-quality end product, requiring the seamless coordination of complex repair work for the client (Newport Norse), across several active primary and secondary schools.
Unfortunately, Beton Bauen were ‘pipped at the post’ by the eventual winner, Cemplas Waterproofing & Concrete Repairs for their work on the iconic 1930’s Saltdean Lido.
